The experience of receiving a Reiki healing treatment is unique to the person receiving the healing. It can include sensory experiences of hot and cold, as well as seeing colours or sensing energy moving around the body. Other times you will just experience the sensation of healing and relaxation.

Reiki energy acts for your highest good and the intention is to bring your energy up to the highest level available to you at that time.

During the treatment, Source energy is channelled through the practitioner’s crown chakra and passed through the hands into your body. The energy flows in at a cellular level and super charges your body’s healing ability. Breaking down any blocks and releasing heavy and stuck energy held in the body and surrounding energy field.

As Reiki works on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, energy will be worked on in all of these areas and can lead to an emotional release during the treatment. You will be laying on the couch relaxed and warm and held in a safe healing space. Anything that comes up for you in the session can be discussed after completion of the healing if you wish.

You will feel more relaxed, balanced, centred and in control of your whole self after your treatment though you may feel more sleepy than usual and rest after treatment is advised.

The effects of treatment can vary from one individual to another, depending on the intention set at the onset of the healing session. Overall, by the end of your treatment you will feel relaxed, balanced and grounded.
